Apply for a primary place

When and how to apply for your child to start in the reception year at a primary or infant school or in year 3 at a junior school.

• Your child must be in full-time education at the beginning of the term following his or her fifth birthday.
• Applications for starting primary or junior school usually opens mid November and usually closes mid January.
